Terms of Service

These terms cover two things: your use of the StagBane- Page Health Auditor for Confluence app (the "App") and your use of the stagbane.com website (the "Site"). By installing the App or using the Site, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

StagBane is built and operated by Carpe Fluxum, a Colorado (USA) limited liability company currently in formation ("Carpe Fluxum", "we", "us"). Registration with the Colorado Secretary of State is pending; this page will be updated with the final registration details when it completes. Nothing about your rights under these terms changes at that point.

2. The App is sold through the Atlassian Marketplace

The App is distributed exclusively through the Atlassian Marketplace and runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform inside your Confluence Cloud site.

  • Purchases, trials, billing, renewals, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Atlassian under the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use presented at purchase. Atlassian is the merchant of record; we never see or store your payment details.
  • Pricing shown on this Site is informational. The Marketplace listing is always the authoritative current price.
  • Your use of Confluence, Rovo, and other Atlassian products remains subject to your agreements with Atlassian. These terms add to, and do not replace, those agreements.

3. Your license to use the App

While your subscription (or trial) is active, you may use the App within the Confluence site(s) it is installed on, for your organization's internal purposes, by any user your Atlassian license covers. You may not resell, sublicense, or offer the App as a service to third parties, or copy or modify it, except where applicable law gives you a right we cannot exclude.

4. What the App does- and deliberately does not do

You are choosing a tool whose limits are part of its design. In particular:

  • The App is non-destructive. It never archives, deletes, moves, rewrites, or auto-changes page content. It adds labels, records review dates, and posts review-request comments- and only when a human triggers the action.
  • Bands and signals are indicators, not judgments of accuracy. The review queue ranks pages using deterministic signals (age, owner presence, review state, orphan status, broken internal links). A page banded Healthy is not guaranteed to be accurate, and a page banded Critical is not guaranteed to be wrong. The App may fail to flag a stale page and may flag a page that is fine.
  • Link checking covers internal links only, within the spaces an administrator chose to audit. External URLs are never checked.
  • The Rovo agent is advisory. Its verdicts are opinions generated on demand, are not stored, may be incomplete or incorrect, and are never a substitute for human review. Any action the agent takes happens only on your explicit confirmation and is limited to the queue's existing non-destructive actions.
  • The reader-facing badge and the rovo-ignore marker are informational. The marker is advisory: it is honored by the App's own agent and badge and does not remove a page from Atlassian's native Rovo or search indexing.

You decide and act. The App surfaces candidates for review; decisions about your content- what to update, verify, restructure, or remove- are yours, and you are responsible for exercising your own judgment before acting on anything the App shows you.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Only give the App's admin surfaces to people you trust with that visibility (the review queue is limited to site admins and can show them the title, owner, and signals of restricted pages- never page content).
  • Use the App in compliance with your agreements with Atlassian and with applicable law.
  • Do not attempt to probe, overload, or interfere with the App or the Site.

6. Data

What the App reads, what it stores, what it never stores, and what happens on uninstall are described in the Privacy Policy. In short: everything runs and stays inside Atlassian's infrastructure; page body text is never stored; there is no telemetry. The Privacy Policy is part of these terms.

7. Support

Support is provided as described on the Site's support page: by email, best effort, with no published SLA or response-time commitment. We may update, add, or remove App features over time; material changes are described in the changelog.

8. Availability

The App runs on Atlassian's platform and depends on Atlassian's availability, APIs, and platform rules. We do not promise uninterrupted availability of the App or the Site, and scheduled scans may be delayed or interrupted by platform conditions outside our control.

9. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the App, the Site, and the StagBane name and marks. Your Confluence content remains yours; these terms give us no rights in your content beyond the access needed to provide the App as described in the Privacy Policy. Feedback you choose to send us may be used to improve the App without obligation to you.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP AND THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THAT: WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL IDENTIFY EVERY STALE, INACCURATE, OR PROBLEMATIC PAGE; THAT PAGES IT FLAGS ARE IN FACT STALE OR INACCURATE; OR THAT ADVISORY AGENT OUTPUT IS CORRECT OR COMPLETE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP OR THE SITE; AND (b) OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP OR THE SITE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR USD $50 IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING). THESE LIMITS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; data handling on uninstall is described in the Privacy Policy. Subscription cancellation is handled through the Atlassian Marketplace. We may suspend or terminate access (through the Marketplace's mechanisms) if these terms are materially violated. Sections 9-11 and 13-14 survive termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be noted in the changelog. Continued use of the App or the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Site and uninstall the App.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are interpreted under the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Colorado have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms, and each party consents to that venue. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
